
Nepali ultra-trail runner Dawa Tamang is set to compete in the 100-kilometer race at the UTMB World Series Final, held in France. Dawa departed for France on Tuesday and aims to improve his personal best in the race scheduled for August 28.
Last year, he secured a spot in the final by completing the 100-kilometer Kosciuszko 100 Ultra-Trail in Australia in 14 hours, 9 minutes, and 29 seconds. Ganeshman Shrestha, Director of Xtep Nepal, bid farewell to Dawa Tuesday at the Xtep outlet located in Jawalakhel.
The UTMB World Series gathers the world’s top ultra-trail runners. This year’s final will take place from August 24 to 30, spanning three European countries: France, Italy, and Switzerland. The 100-kilometer race in which Dawa will compete starts in Italy and finishes in France.
