Embark College has joined as the Higher Education Partner for the 23rd edition of the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards 2082. Under the partnership agreement, Embark College will offer a full scholarship to one national athlete selected by the forum, applicable for undergraduate or postgraduate studies. The awards, including the People’s Choice category featuring nominees Puja Rana, Rabindra Dhant, Sher Mall, Meena Sunar, and Sanumaya Thing, will take place on 18 Bhadra in Kathmandu.
4 Bhadra, Kathmandu – The Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) is set to host the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards 2082 with support from Embark College. As part of this collaboration, Embark College has been confirmed as the Higher Education Partner for the 23rd edition of the awards, scheduled in Kathmandu on 18 Bhadra. The agreement was formalized on Thursday by NSJF president Niranjan Adhikari and Embark College Executive Director and CEO Ashish Thakur’s representative Neeraj Nyaupane, who signed the memorandum on their behalf.
In accordance with this partnership, Embark College will grant a full scholarship (up to NPR 1.8 million) to one national athlete selected by the forum for either undergraduate or postgraduate programs. Additionally, Embark will contribute to research, training, and mentorship initiatives conducted by the NSJF Academy.
Expressing enthusiasm about participating in Nepal’s prestigious sports event, Embark College Chairperson Thakur pledged to strengthen the collaboration going forward. “The NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards is a vital platform in the Nepali sports sector and is now in its final preparation stage. This ceremony recognizes and honors athletes, coaches, and sports personnel who elevate Nepali sports to higher achievements. The nominations for the People’s Choice category have been officially announced,” he said.
The nominees for the People’s Choice award include footballer Puja Rana, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athlete Rabindra Dhant, cricketer Sher Mall, volleyball player Meena Sunar, and karateka Sanumaya Thing. Fans can vote for their favorite nominees via Khati Wallet and by liking photos of the nominated players on the NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards Facebook page as well as Pulsar Nepal’s Facebook page.
The NSJF Pulsar Sports Awards 2082 will honor recipients in categories such as Best Male Athlete, Best Female Athlete, Youth Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, People’s Choice Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, Special Award, Para Athlete Honor, and Asian Sports Journalism Award.
