September 21, Kathmandu – The official national PUBG Mobile tournament, the PUBG Mobile National Championship (PMNC), is set to begin this Saturday in Kathmandu.
The two-day competition, organized jointly by the Esports Association of Nepal (ESAN) and Sports County, will feature Nepal’s top 16 teams competing fiercely. The PMNC acts as the official qualification event for the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO).
This edition will include 16 teams participating with the DRS system in place. Popular team Hora Esports has already qualified for the next stage and therefore will not take part in this competition.
The champion will be awarded a prize of $2,500, the runner-up $1,500, and the third-place team will receive $1,000.
Teams placing fourth through tenth will receive prizes ranging from $800 to $250 respectively. The 11th and 12th ranked teams will each earn $150, while teams from 13th to 16th place will be awarded $100 each.
Additionally, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) will be honored with a $400 prize.
Approved by the National Sports Council (Rakhap), the event will include various entertainment activities for spectators. According to the organizers, attendees can enjoy live music, food stalls, and multiple gaming zones alongside the tournament matches.
Running over two days, the PMNC promises to provide Nepal’s top PUBG Mobile players and teams a valuable platform to showcase their skills at the national level in the vibrant esports arena.
