Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho, aged 46, has announced his return to professional football by signing with Ravenna, a club in Italy’s third division. Setting his sights on scoring his 300th career goal, he stated that he remains in excellent physical condition. The celebrated Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho announced his comeback to professional football at age 46, with the ambition of reaching his 300th career goal. Having retired in 2015, Ronaldinho will now play for Italy’s Serie C club Ravenna. In addition to being a player, he will also become a shareholder of the club. The announcement was made during the “Ronaldinho Day” event held on Ravenna’s seaside, witnessed by thousands of supporters, where Ronaldinho expressed that he remains in great physical shape.

“It will be even more special if I can reach my 300th career goal,” Ronaldinho said. Club owner Ignazio Cipriani emphasized that Ronaldinho’s signing is not a publicity stunt but a genuine effort to make the team successful. According to Cipriani, Ronaldinho’s objective is to play one last memorable game and score a memorable goal. Ronaldinho led Brazil to victory in the 2002 World Cup and won the Ballon d’Or in 2005. Having played for Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and AC Milan, he is regarded as one of football’s all-time greats. Last season, Ravenna finished third in Serie C Group B and now aims for promotion to Serie B.
