If you were offered an instant $50,000 or a 50% chance to win $1 million, which would you choose?

An international research and statistics organization recently asked this question to 4,600 adults in the UK.

Nearly three-quarters, or 73%, opted for the immediate $50,000.

About 21% chose to gamble with the chance to win $1 million, while 6% were undecided.
