In the national poetry competition organized by Bhimfedi Rural Municipality, Hemprakash Manjil from Jumla secured first place with his poem ‘Chhutepachhi Desh,’ winning a cash prize of NPR 50,000. Suman Ghimire from Sarlahi earned second place with his poem ‘Ma Desh Kasari Banau?’, receiving NPR 30,000, while Yograj Paudel from Jhapa’s ‘Matrugatha’ took third place and was awarded NPR 20,000.
On the occasion of Tulsi Thapa Memorial Day, a half-length statue of the noted literary figure was unveiled in the premises of Shrikrishna Secondary School at Bhainse-2, Bhimfedi. The poem ‘Chhutepachhi Desh’ claimed first place in the national poetry competition held in Bhimfedi Rural Municipality. Hemprakash Manjil, a resident of Guthchaur-4 in Jumla, authored this poem which earned him the NPR 50,000 cash prize.
The poetry competition organized by Bhimfedi Rural Municipality on the occasion of literary figure Tulsi Thapa’s memorial day featured poems reflecting patriotism, contemporary social issues, and human sensitivity. Suman Ghimire from Lalbandi-4, Sarlahi, won second place with ‘Ma Desh Kasari Banau?’ and was awarded NPR 30,000. Yograj Paudel from Arjundhara-5, Jhapa, took third place with his poem ‘Matrugatha,’ receiving NPR 20,000.
Additionally, poems ‘Rato Canvas’ by Chetana Sharma of Kathmandu and ‘Bagai Cha’ by Dhiraj Nath from Bhimdatt Municipality-18 in Kanchanpur received encouragement awards, each accompanied by NPR 10,000. The award ceremony was conducted by Bhimfedi Rural Municipality Chairperson Hidam Lama. Established in 1953 BS (1896 CE), Shrikrishna Secondary School is notable for being the place where Tulsi Thapa studied and later served as principal.
