Russian Security Council Deputy Chair Dmitry Medvedev Accuses West of Creating Tensions Against Russia

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chair of the Russian Security Council, has accused the West of attempting to create new tensions along Russia’s borders that have lasted for centuries. In an interview with media outlets including Yuzhnaya Osetiya, he stated that the West’s strategy involves drawing historically respectful nations into conflict against Moscow and working through other means. Medvedev further commented, “The West has been trying for centuries to create new areas of tension along Russia’s borders. Their strategy is to involve nations with deep ties to Russia in conflict against Moscow and to operate through others.” September 25, Kathmandu.
