Vianka Rai Wins Gold in Women’s Singles at 13th Purnman Vajracharya Open Table Tennis Tournament

Vianka Rai from Mahendra Ratna Campus secured the gold medal in the college women’s singles category at the 13th Purnman Vajracharya Open Table Tennis Tournament. In the final, Vianka defeated her teammate Asma Pahari to claim the title. Arpita Maharjan from Asian and Yanu Shreesh from Xavier jointly shared third place.
In the U-14 boys singles, Rivhanmuni Vajracharya of DAV claimed the championship while Swarnim Shakya of AVM finished as runner-up. Nayan Laluwa from Proxima and Vishal Basnet from Premier secured third place. For the U-14 girls, Shreya Shakya of AVM won the gold medal, with Rai Tayabung taking silver, while Prajnya Maharjan and Yamila Shrestha of Arambha Sanskar earned the bronze medals.
In the U-16 boys singles, Rijan Shakya from Bhasara took first place, Aryan Shahi from Everest was second, and Nischal Thapa of Arambha and Sugam Paudel from Prime shared third place. In the over-50 men’s singles category, Nadimratna Shakya from Kholcha Pukhu won the gold medal, while Rajesh Bhattarai from ITTE was limited to the silver medal.
In team events, Mahendra Ratna Campus emerged champion in the college women’s category. AVM secured second place, with Premier and Bishwo Adarsha sharing third. In the school boys’ team event, Arambha finished first, Prime second, and AVM alongside Srishti Academy took third place. For school girls’ teams, AVM won the title, Arambha was runner-up, and Whitefield and Sirjana Gyan Sagar placed third.
