According to religious beliefs, the kund located within the Kumbheshwor Temple complex was formed when Lord Shri Ram shot an arrow and a stream of water emerged, believed to be from Gosainkund. This sacred tradition draws devotees from various parts of the country to bathe in Kumbheshwor on Janai Purnima day.
