Although the flood in Rasuwa washed away the Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Trishuli Bazaar, the principal and staff had already relocated all students to a safe area beforehand. Principal Rajendra Dawadi and about 50 others were stranded on a hill, and their rescue took place on the third day after the flood. Two school staff members and one teacher remain out of contact, while approximately 15 students in Bidur Municipality-9 are still awaiting rescue.
The flood in Rasuwa destroyed the Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Trishuli Bazaar. However, due to the proactive efforts of the principal and other staff members, all students were evacuated from the school before the flood arrived. No students were swept away inside the school. Nevertheless, a group fleeing the school towards the hills found themselves stranded. According to Principal Rajendra Dawadi, “Today, we have been safely rescued along with the children. Everyone is safe.”
Regarding their rescue situation, he said, “We are currently at a safe location, which is where my home is. The place we stayed before had no electricity.” He added, “So far, about 15 students are still waiting to be rescued. I have informed the army for their rescue.”
When asked about the condition of the stranded students, he replied, “Two to three teachers are with them. Discussions with the authorities have been completed. Preparations for their rescue are underway and should be done soon.”
