The Prithvi Highway section between Galchi and Malekhu, which was blocked by flood debris, has been cleared of accumulated sediment to allow the passage of essential vehicles. Minister of Physical Infrastructure, Sunil Lamsal, informed that this section is now partially reopened and stranded vehicles are being safely directed to their destinations. Due to flooding, the Prithvi Highway segment between Galchi and Malekhu was obstructed but has now been partially reopened. According to Minister Sunil Lamsal, the removal of sediment from this road segment has been carried out to restart the movement of essential vehicles in the first phase. Vehicles stranded on the highway have also been safely dispatched to their destinations. Minister Lamsal stated that with efforts to clear the debris and resume operations, the Prithvi Highway is now effectively back in service.
