Songwriters’ Association Provides Financial Aid to Victims of Bhote Koshi Floods

On September 14, the Songwriters’ Association Nepal extended financial assistance to the victims of the floods and landslides that originated in the Bhote Koshi area and affected the Trishuli region. The association contributed NPR 115,000 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The association stated that amid the significant losses of life and property as well as the humanitarian suffering caused by the floods and landslides, they believe their modest support will offer some relief to the affected families during this difficult time. Furthermore, the association expressed solidarity with all Nepalis affected by the disaster and called upon its songwriter members and the wider public to remain patient and dedicated to the welfare of the nation and its people during these challenging circumstances.
