Sandeep Takes 5 Wickets as Bahrain All-Out for 87 in ACC Premier Cup Opener

Captain Sandeep Lamichhane took 5 wickets as Nepal dismissed Bahrain for just 87 runs in their opening match of the ACC Premier Cup. Sandeep bowled 10 overs, conceding only 14 runs while claiming 5 wickets, with Lalit Rajbanshi taking 3 wickets and Karan KC picking up 2. For Bahrain, Fiyaz Ahmed top-scored with 15 runs, followed by Muhammad Wasim with 13 and Ali Dawood with 10 runs. The match took place on 15 Bhadra in Kathmandu.
Batting first after losing the toss, Bahrain were all out for 87 in 36.2 overs. Sandeep was impressive with the ball, conceding just 14 runs and taking 5 wickets. Lalit Rajbanshi chipped in with 3 wickets, while Karan KC took 2 wickets. Fiyaz Ahmed led Bahrain’s scoring with 15 runs, supported by Muhammad Wasim’s 13 and Ali Dawood’s 10.
Starting his spell in the 14th over, Sandeep struck with his very first ball, claiming a wicket. He took another wicket on the fourth ball of the same over. Subsequently, he took one wicket in his fifth over, and added one wicket each in his seventh and eighth overs, completing his five-wicket haul.
