Kelmi Nepal has contributed NPR 1,505,555 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund to support those affected by the floods in Rasuwa. The company also announced plans to operate a clothing bank in Rasuwa and Nuwakot, distributing new clothes worth between NPR 10 million and 15 million. Following flood damage to Kelmi’s showroom in Trishuli, the company is preparing to open a new showroom in Vidur or nearby areas.
According to Kelmi Nepal’s Managing Director, Uttam Nyaupane, the donation was made with the goal of providing aid to individuals impacted by floods, landslides, and other natural disasters. After the complete destruction of the Kelmi showroom in Trishuli, Nuwakot, the company is arranging to establish a new showroom in Vidur or the surrounding vicinity.
At the occasion, Nyaupane also shared that within the next 15 days, the company will launch a clothing bank to supply new garments in Rasuwa and Nuwakot. Relief materials will not be distributed directly; instead, free clothing will be made available through the clothing bank based on an official list of affected individuals and families prepared by the government. Priority will be given to ensuring aid reaches those on the official list. Kelmi Nepal has a history of implementing relief and support programs under its social responsibility initiatives during previous natural disasters and challenging situations.
