
September 3, Doti – Jorayal Rural Municipality has decided to contribute NPR 3,328,641 to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund. This assistance aims to support the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts for victims affected by the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi region of Rasuwa.
The total amount will be collected from multiple sources within the municipality: NPR 255,555 from the local disaster management fund; NPR 207,952 deducted from 15 days’ service benefits of all elected representatives of the municipality; NPR 760,842 equivalent to 7 days’ salary from officer-level staff, 5 days’ salary from assistant-level staff, and 2 days’ salary from non-cadre employees; and NPR 2,104,293 from the salaries of teachers and school staff.
The aggregate sum of NPR 3,328,641 will be handed over to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief and Rescue Fund, as confirmed by the Rural Municipality Chairman, Durga Datt Ojha.
