Security Forces Intensify Operations Against Terrorists in Pakistan, 21 Militants Killed

Pakistani military operations conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from September 3 to 5 resulted in the elimination of 21 terrorists. September 7, Islamabad (RASS/Xinhua): Security forces operating in Pakistan’s northwest recently carried out multiple military actions leading to the death of 21 terrorists, the Pakistani military reported. The ISPR released information on Sunday confirming that from September 3 to 5, security sweep operations were conducted across several districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

During clashes between security personnel and militants, a total of 21 terrorists were killed. The operations in North Waziristan were focused primarily on the border area adjoining Afghanistan, a region historically marked by militant activity and attacks on security forces. The military identified those killed as terrorists involved in such hostile activities.

Engagements also took place in Kohat and Dera Ismail Khan, resulting in further militant casualties, the military stated. Pakistani security agencies regularly conduct search and combat operations in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to control terrorist activity. According to the army, the objective of the recent campaign is to completely eliminate remaining security risks and further strengthen safety conditions in the region.
