Nepal’s Sunita Rai and Bhawana Dangi Win Silver Medal in Kaba Beach Volleyball

The pair of Sunita Rai and Bhawana Dangi from Nepal secured the silver medal in the Kaba beach volleyball final held in Thimphu, Bhutan. Although Nepal won the first set 21–17, they lost the second and third sets 21–15 and 15–5 respectively. The men’s title was claimed by the Sri Lankan duo Dilipa Sadun and Madushanka. 21 Bhadra, Kathmandu.

In the women’s category of Kaba beach volleyball, Nepal’s Sunita Rai and Bhawana Dangi earned the silver medal. In the final match held in Thimphu, Bhutan, they were defeated by the Indian pair Deepika and Pavitra. After winning the first set 21–17, the Nepali team lost the second and third sets, preventing them from clinching the gold. The Indian team triumphed in the second set 21–15 and the third set 15–5, securing the gold medal.

Nepali pairs Mahendra Shrestha and Rajkumar Niraula, along with Jhman Singh Darji and Sharan Karki also participated but were unable to advance beyond the semifinals.
