Karnali Shivraj secured their second consecutive victory in the Nepal Volleyball League (NVL). In the second match held on Monday at the National Sports Council’s covered hall in Tripureshwor, Karnali defeated Khaptad Falcons Sudurpashchim in straight sets, continuing their winning streak. Karnali won all three sets with identical scores of 25–19, ensuring their victory. Iranian player Alireza Abaluch of Karnali was named ‘Player of the Match.’
In their opening match, Karnali had defeated Annapurna Spiker Kings 3–1. With back-to-back wins, Karnali has accumulated six points, rising to second place in the league standings. For Khaptad Falcons, this marked their second straight loss after suffering a straight-sets defeat against Sagarmatha Smashers in their first match. In Monday’s first game, Annapurna Spiker Kings earned their first league win by defeating Kathmandu Reds in straight sets. Later Monday matches feature Madhesh Warriors versus Annapurna Spiker Kings and Sagarmatha Smashers facing Karnali Shivraj. Organized by Kedia Group, the league features six competing teams.
