According to the Saudi Arabia-led military coalition in Yemen, at least 73 people have been injured in a Houthi attack. The coalition has stated it will take decisive measures in response and described the recent fighting as extremely dangerous.
The Houthis declared a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia in July and have since targeted Saudi ships and Aramco’s plant in Jizan. The Houthi rebels control northern Yemen, home to a large portion of the population, and have launched various attacks against Saudi Arabia.
Saudi vessels in the Red Sea have also been targeted. A spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition characterized the intensifying conflict as dangerous, noting that the Houthis are striking civilian and economic targets inside Saudi Arabia. Among recent attacks, the Aramco plant in Jizan has been hit, although Aramco has yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
