September 9, Kathmandu — News agencies affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have claimed missile attacks on US military base camps located in Jordan. The Iranian missiles reportedly targeted the Prince Hassan Military Base in eastern Jordan. Iranian sources have released various video footages related to the first phase of the missile strikes in Jordan. Some of these videos show Iranian missiles breaking through air defense systems and striking their targets directly.
On Wednesday morning, the Revolutionary Guard Corps also claimed to have launched ballistic missiles at US warships. Previously, Iran had attacked a US military base camp in Jordan with missiles. Jordan stated that its air defense system successfully intercepted 18 out of 20 missiles launched by Iran. An official spokesperson from the Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that two missiles launched from Iran fell far from residential areas. Iran stated that these attacks were in response to US strikes on Iranian oil tankers.
