In the final league phase match held on Thursday at Dashrath Rangashala’s covered hall in Tripureshwor, Annapurna defeated Sagarmatha Smashers 3–1 to seal their direct spot in the final.
Despite losing the first set 25–21, Annapurna bounced back impressively, winning the next three sets 25–21, 25–14, and 25–20 consecutively.
After an initial loss to Karnali Shivraj in the competition, Annapurna secured four consecutive wins, finishing top of the league phase with 12 points.
Meanwhile, Sagarmatha’s chances of reaching the playoffs ended with their third defeat in the league phase. Karnali Shivraj and Kathmandu Reds have also confirmed their playoff qualifications following this result.
