
The Road Division Office in Baitadi has terminated contract agreements for 10 road projects that failed to complete work within the stipulated timeframe. The office ended contracts related to maintenance, upgrades, and road safety works on the Mahakali, Jayaprihti, Mid-Hill, and Satbanjh–Gokuleshwor–Darchula roads. According to Information Officer Kapil Prasad Pant, the concerned contractors will be recommended for blacklisting, and their security deposits and guarantees will be recovered. In a statement issued Monday, the office declared that contracts were terminated for projects that had not progressed or completed work as scheduled. The terminated projects involve repair, upgrade, and road safety work on the Mahakali Highway, Jayaprihti Highway, Mid-Hill Highway, and Satbanjh–Gokuleshwor–Darchula roads. Information Officer Kapil Prasad Pant confirmed that the contractors will be recommended for blacklisting and that performance guarantees, deposits, and remaining advance payments will be recovered in accordance with applicable laws.
