The Gorkhas franchise confirmed Warner’s signing through their social media channels. Warner is the biggest foreign player to participate in the NPL to date.
Earlier, the Australian cricket franchise Sim Strike had also announced Warner’s participation in the NPL, a post that Warner himself liked.
Accordingly, the signal from Kathmandu Gorkhas confirmed Warner as the foreign player, which sparked widespread publicity.
The 39-year-old Warner has won two ODI World Cups, one T20 World Cup, and the World Test Championship for Australia.
Warner secured victories in the 2015 and 2023 ODI World Cups, the 2021 T20 World Cup, and the 2023 World Test Championship.
