The second edition of the International Invitational Women’s Gold Cup will be held in Simara, Bara from October 10 to 17. Organizer Hari Chaudhary has confirmed that eight teams, including Nepal Army, Nepal Police, and APF, will participate. The winner will receive NPR 500,000, the runner-up NPR 250,000, along with trophies. The tournament will take place under floodlights at the Simara Stadium.
The Simara Vetrans Club announced details of the tournament during a press conference on Saturday. The competition, running until October 17, features eight teams representing three departments. Participating teams include Nepal Army, Nepal Police Club, Nepal APF Club, Dharan’s Fair Football Club, Chitwan’s Basantapur United, Darjeeling’s Kursang Girls Football Club, Jharkhand’s State Sports Club, and the host Simara Vetrans Club.
The champion will be awarded NPR 500,000, and the runner-up NPR 250,000 along with trophies. Additionally, the Player of the Tournament will receive NPR 100,000, while the Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, and Best Coach will each be awarded NPR 10,000, according to the organizing club. Various organizations along with the Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City will support the successful organization of the event. The press conference was attended by Jeetpur Simara Sub-Metropolitan City Deputy Mayor Bholaprasad Adhikari and Ward Chairperson Chayan Gurung.
