In the karate kumite 68 kg competition at Toyohashi Gymnasium in Japan, Nepal’s Min Bahadur Tamang defeated Tajikistan’s Mirzojoda Mohammad 2–0 to secure a place in the semifinals. Previously, Min Bahadur earned his quarterfinal spot by beating Hong Kong’s Chow Ka Him 4–1. In the semifinals, he will face Kuwait’s Shaban Abdullah. Kathmandu, 21 September.
