
At the ongoing 20th Asian Games in Japan, Nepal’s Savita Rai achieved 10th place in the women’s Taijiquan and Taijijian category. The competition, held at the Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall, featured 12 participants, with Savita scoring 9.183 points.
Alongside Savita, a total of 10 Nepali athletes are competing in various categories. In the men’s Taijiquan event, Vijay Sinjali was also eliminated from the competition. China’s Chin Tong claimed the gold medal with a score of 9.783 points. Japan’s Shiho Saito took silver with 9.740 points, while the bronze medals were awarded to Singapore’s Jian Zhi Ning Lau and Brunei’s Basma Lachkar, who scored 9.720 points each.
