The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian military has claimed to have received information that the United States, with the support of some regional countries, is planning an attack on Iran. According to a statement issued by the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters and reported by BBC Persian, “Our intelligence indicates that the United States has decided to resume punitive measures against Iran following a joint meeting held in a European country with the agreement of some regional states.” However, the headquarters did not provide further details about the other participating nations or the European country hosting the meeting.
The headquarters warned the regional states that if they “cooperate” with the US attack, they will be considered partners in this action. It cautioned these countries that they should not expect restraint or civility from the Iranian armed forces. Furthermore, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a warning to the United States stating that in the event of an attack, “all US military bases within the region will be targeted by Iranian strikes without any restriction or hesitation.”
