The Nepalese team departed for Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday to participate in the 58th Asian Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship. The competition will be held from Ashwin 6 to 12, where seven athletes, including Juni Rai, will compete. Ramcharitra Mehta, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council, bid farewell to the team on Monday.
The athletes participating in the event include Juni Rai, Ripu Gharti, Sagendra Singh, Paris Shrestha, Resham Rana, Biplav Thapa Magar, and Pranesh Shrestha. Along with the team, Senior Vice President of the Nepal Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation Vijaylal Kayastha, Secretary and Technical Chairman of the Asian Bodybuilding Federation Dinesh Kumar Rajbhandari, coach Rujesh Shahi, team manager Rajeshbahadur Shrestha, judge Pratapaji Baria, and assistants Rajeshwari Shrestha and Sagar Shrestha will also travel to Thailand. President Rajesh Babu Shrestha had already arrived in Thailand earlier.
Wishing the team success, Ramcharitra Mehta, Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council, bid them farewell on Monday.
