‘Fusion Fight Chapter-1,’ a competition aimed at elevating professional combat sports in Nepal, is set to take place on October 11 at LOD in Thamel. The event will feature 11 Muay Thai bouts adhering to official rules, with 22 Nepali fighters participating, according to the organizers. The main event will showcase a face-off between Sushma Chaudhary and Rajina Bist, where the winner will receive a prize of NPR 100,000, and the runner-up will earn NPR 50,000.
During a press conference held in Kathmandu, Fusion Fight announced that the competition will host 11 competitive Muay Thai matches following official regulations. The event will include participation from 22 Nepali athletes. The highlight of the tournament will be the women’s main event, where Sushma Chaudhary and Rajina Bist will compete directly against each other. They have faced off twice before, each claiming one victory.
Other notable matchups include Prashant Tamang versus Karn Bahadur Magarati, Bhola Kumar Rai against Pemba Chiri Sherpa, Allen Thakali versus Abram Rai, Moses Kumal and Gautam Thing, Dharmendra Ram against Suman Yakkha, Ashik Koli versus Jitendra Rai, Vishal Lama and Yoman Moktan, as well as Kushal Tamang facing Mandip Kshetri. Notably, 13-year-old Pushkar Malla will compete against 16-year-old Samyog Rai. The organizers stated that the event at LOD will feature a special ring, professional lighting, and high-quality production. Spectators can watch the competition live on Kantipur Max HD and Max on OTT platforms, while those wishing to attend in person can purchase tickets via eSewa.
