In the 20th Asian Games currently underway in Japan, Nepal has decided to bowl first after losing the toss against Afghanistan in their opening men’s cricket match. The match, which began just before 10:45 AM at Korogi Sports Park in Nishin, Aichi, Japan, saw Afghanistan win the toss and elect to bat first. Nepal is placed in Group ‘A’ with Afghanistan and Japan. Afghanistan has already defeated Japan in the first match held on Thursday. The top two teams from this group will advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, Nepal is set to face either India or Sri Lanka. Previously, in the Asian Games, Nepal also reached the quarterfinals but was eliminated after a loss to India.
