On September 25, in Kathmandu, the boxing competitions of the 20th Asian Games took place at the Nishio Gymnasium in Japan on Friday. In the men’s 60 kg second round, Khagendra Rokamagar faced Junmilardo Ogayre of the Philippines and was defeated 5–0. Khagendra had previously won against Alvin John Reyes Salinas of Macau in the first round with a 5–0 score, but was unable to advance beyond the second round this time.
In the women’s 54 kg category, Asmita Duval directly entered the second round, which is the Round of 16, and was defeated 5–0 by Japan’s Sukimi Namiki, concluding her participation in the competition.
Following these results, Nepalese boxer Rabin Nepal remains in competition in the men’s 90 kg weight category. Previously, Nepalese boxers Ramisha Shrestha, Kushum Tamang, Chandrabahadur Thapa, and Dhanbahadur Darlami have been eliminated from the tournament.
