Abhishek and Pradeep Advance to Second Round in Men’s Doubles Tennis at 20th Asian Games

At the 20th Asian Games, Nepalese pair Abhishek Bastola and Pradeep Khadka have progressed to the second round in the men’s doubles tennis event. The match took place Sunday at the Higashiyama Park Tennis Center in Nagoya City, where Abhishek and Pradeep defeated the Mongolian duo Munkhbatar Badrakh and Urnukh Joldbar in a tough opening battle with a scoreline of 6–2, 4–6, 14–12.

Nepal secured the first set 6–2 but lost the second set 4–6. In the decisive third set, the pair clinched victory 14–12 to confirm their place in the second round.

With this win, Abhishek and Pradeep’s team has advanced further in the men’s doubles tennis bracket. Meanwhile, in the women’s singles competition, Nepal’s Shivali Gurung was eliminated in the first round.
