Renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has reached a remarkable milestone by scoring 15,000 runs in One Day International (ODI) cricket. Kohli achieved this feat during the first ODI against the West Indies by hitting a boundary. He became only the second player in ODI history to reach 15,000 runs, previously held solely by India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
Kohli reached this landmark in just 303 innings, breaking Tendulkar’s previous record of 377 innings. Impressively, he scored from 14,000 to 15,000 runs in only 16 innings. Having already retired from Test cricket and T20 internationals, Kohli continues to deliver outstanding performances in the 50-over format. While the West Indies are chasing a target of 297 runs set by India, Kohli is currently at the crease with 75 runs.
