On Sunday, airstrikes in Yemen’s Taiz region resulted in the deaths of approximately 30 Houthi fighters and 8 civilians, according to Houthi sources who spoke to AFP. The internationally recognized Yemeni government claims to have conducted 756 precise attacks within 72 hours targeting Houthi military camps and vehicles.
The Houthi Health Ministry reported that the strikes hit shops in the Mavyah market of Taiz province. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated, “We will respond to these attacks from our side.” Meanwhile, Yemeni government military spokesperson Colonel Majid Abdullah Al-Nujaili claimed, “The military conducted 756 precision strikes within 72 hours, killing more than 2,300 Houthi fighters and four Iranian experts.”
Al-Masirah TV, affiliated with the Houthis, has asserted that the airstrikes were carried out by Saudi combat aircraft. There has been no immediate response from the Saudi side. This incident occurs amid intensified clashes between Houthi forces and Yemeni government-backed troops.
