October 13, Kathmandu – Nepal’s archers Tilak Punmagar and Gyanu Awale have been eliminated from the 20th Asian Games archery competition. The event took place at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Multipurpose Hall in Japan. In the recurve men’s singles category, Tilak was defeated 6-2 by Qatar’s Ahmed Al-Sadas, managing to outperform his opponent in only one round.
In the recurve women’s singles, Nepal’s Gyanu lost 7-1 against Qatar’s Reem Al-Sai, having tied in the second round and adding a single point. Previously, the pair Tilak and Gyanu had also been eliminated from the recurve mixed team event, losing 6-2 to the UAE duo Aisha Alali and Khalifa Alkabi. With these results, Nepal’s archery campaign at the Asian Games has come to an end.
