Flooding in the Daram River of Baglung has caused the collapse of a government building of the local municipality. Eyewitnesses captured footage showing the building on the riverbank sliding downward as the ground gave way. Fortunately, no one was inside the building at the time of the incident.
Last month, the breaching of a glacier triggered devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers. The ongoing heavy rainfall has led to further flooding, causing extensive damage to lives and property across various regions of Nepal. The recent tragedy last month confirmed over 1,400 deaths, with thousands more still unaccounted for.
