The National Sports Council (Rakhap) has appointed Gunjan Shah Thakuri as a member of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN). Kathmandu, 4 October. Following a decision at the member secretary level, Rakhap nominated Gunjan as a member of CAN. According to Article 2, Clause 3, Subclause (4) of the Nepal Cricket Association Statute 2055, Rakhap holds the provision to nominate an ex officio member to the association. Accordingly, Rakhap has appointed Gunjan as a member.
Previously, after the formation of the new government, Rakhap had recalled Chhumbi Lama from membership. Gunjan has now been appointed to the vacancy created by this change. She formerly served as the personal secretary to Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Gauri Kumari Yadav.
