
It has been decided to expand the capacity of Dashrath Chand Health Science University by increasing the number of hospital beds from 100 to 300. Preparations are underway to introduce 50 seats for MBA, 30 seats for Nursing, 20 seats for BSc MLT, and 20 seats for Ophthalmology starting from the new academic session. Coordination with the Ministry of Education has resulted in a consensus to allocate a budget of 430 million NPR and to convene a senate meeting promptly.
March 28, Kathmandu – The Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Sasmit Pokharel; Member of Parliament KP Khanal; along with the university’s Vice-Chancellor and Registrar, concluded a plan to upgrade the university’s standards. The hospital’s capacity will be increased, expanding bed availability from 100 to 300, to make services more effective. Plans have been made to ensure a budget of 2.58 billion NPR necessary for launching new academic programs.
Starting from the upcoming academic session, seats will be offered for MBA (50 seats), Nursing (30 seats), BSc MLT (20 seats), and Ophthalmology (20 seats). Due to the suspension of the approved 430 million NPR budget, the senate meeting could not be convened earlier. However, through necessary coordination with the Ministry of Education, an agreement has been reached to hold the senate meeting soon and to deploy the allocated funds without delay.
