US Warns: No Gulf Ports Will Remain Safe if Blockade Imposed

March 14, Kathmandu — Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated sharply once again. Following US President Donald Trump’s warning to block Iranian shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian forces have issued a stern warning of strong retaliation. An official statement released via Iranian media outlet IRIB described the US threat as “illegal” and tantamount to “maritime piracy.”

Iran has declared that any blockade or attack on its ports would not only affect the US but would have consequences for the entire Gulf region. Targeting neighboring Gulf states, the Iranian military emphasized that the security of all ports in the region must be guaranteed equally; no ports will receive preferential protection.

Iran further cautioned that if US forces target Iranian ports, no ports along the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will remain secure. Despite ongoing hostilities, Iran confirmed it would maintain full control over the Strait of Hormuz and prevent vessels associated with its adversaries from entering Iranian maritime borders. This firm stance by Iran significantly increases the risk of military involvement along one of the world’s critical oil supply routes.
