Nepal’s ‘AirView’ Named Among United Nations’ Top 60 Global Innovations

‘AirView,’ developed by young Nepali tech entrepreneurs, has been included in the United Nations’ list of the top 60 global innovations. Competing against over 900 technology-based innovations worldwide, this Nepali innovation has secured a position in the prestigious list. Developed by Bots Industries, this platform provides real-time air quality data using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Kathmandu, June 13 – The ‘AirView’ innovation, created by young Nepali tech entrepreneurs, has been featured in the United Nations’ list of outstanding global innovations. Operating in the climate-tech domain, this Nepali advancement was incorporated into the ‘STI Solutions Book 2026’ compiled by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA).

Among more than 900 technological and digital innovations globally, ‘AirView’ was selected as one of the top 60. According to the official UN DESA website, the platform was chosen as a practical, scalable solution that contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Developed in Nepal, this platform aims to communicate air pollution information scientifically and accessibly to the general public. It combines low-cost air quality measurement devices, satellite data, ground-based sensors, and AI to deliver real-time air quality information. ‘AirView’ was developed under Bots Industries Private Limited. Its founder is Sakri Pandey from Nuwakot Shivapuri Rural Municipality-7, and the co-founder is Shreesha Pandey.
