May 22, Kathmandu – A Ukrainian attack near Russia’s border in the Kursk region has reportedly caused the deaths of 507 civilians. Governor Alexander Khinshtein of the Kursk area confirmed this tragic incident during an interview with the Russian news agency TASS.
Speaking to journalists at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Governor Khinshtein described the event as the most severe and tragic outcome in the region’s recent history. He cited recent reports confirming the death toll of 507 civilians. Among those victims, 446 had been out of contact with their families since early last year and were classified as missing persons. This information was disclosed during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held from June 3 to 6.
