Rapti Rural Municipality Announces Budget of NPR 750.496 Million for Fiscal Year 2083/84

June 25, Masuriya – Rapti Rural Municipality, situated in Dang, the capital of Lumbini Province, has announced a budget of NPR 750,496,000 for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. During the ninth session of the second village assembly, Deputy Chairperson Kamalapati Chaudhary presented the budget, explaining that allocations were made based on revenues from the federal government, provincial government, revenue distribution, and internal sources.

According to Deputy Chairperson Chaudhary, out of the total budget, NPR 196,986,000 is allocated for capital expenditures, while NPR 553,510,000 is designated for recurrent expenses. A sum of NPR 66,900,000 has been set aside for current and capital programs operating at the ward level. Regarding budget resource management, it is estimated that NPR 543,254,000 will be received from the federal government.

Similarly, the rural municipality expects to receive NPR 64,727,000 from the provincial government. Internal revenue from sources such as royalty distribution, house and land registration fees, and remaining funds from the current fiscal year are projected to generate NPR 20,500,000 in internal income. Deputy Chairperson Chaudhary noted that the estimated revenue for the coming fiscal year is NPR 97,794,000, or 14.98 percent higher than the NPR 652,702,000 revenue forecasted for the current fiscal year 2082/83.

For the current fiscal year 2082/83, Rapti Rural Municipality had approved a budget of NPR 652,702,000. The proposed budget for the upcoming year represents an increase of approximately NPR 97,794,000 compared to the previous year. Rural Municipality Chairperson Prakash Vist highlighted that the budget and programs are formulated with priorities placed on agriculture, education, health, infrastructure development, employment promotion, social security, and good governance.
