ACC Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Will Not Attend Asian Games Cricket Final in Japan

Kathmandu, October 2 – Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), will not be traveling to Japan to watch the cricket final at the 2026 Asian Games. The men’s cricket gold medal match is scheduled for Saturday, featuring India and Pakistan. Prior to that, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will compete for the bronze medal. The ACC issued a statement on Friday informing that Naqvi will not be attending the final match in Japan.

In the statement, Naqvi extended his best wishes to all four teams competing for the gold and bronze medals. He cited his busy schedule as the reason for being unable to visit Nagoya. Nonetheless, he expressed excitement about the thrilling matches and conveyed his good wishes to all participants in the Asian Games’ gold and bronze medal contests. Naqvi also serves as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
