Russian drones have launched attacks on a major bridge in Kyiv for the second consecutive day. Russian military forces have intensified strikes on bridges in Ukraine’s capital city. Although the assaults have caused some damage, the bridge remains intact. The ‘Northern Bridge’ is one of eight critical bridges spanning the Dnipro River. Approximately half a million vehicles use these bridges daily for transportation.
A few days ago, Russian forces also repeatedly attacked the ‘Sadarva Bridge.’ This recent wave of attacks coincided with German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz’s unexpected visit to Kyiv.
