22 Ashoj, Kathmandu – The Nepal national cricket team has climbed one spot in the ICC ODI team rankings. According to the updated list released by the ICC on Thursday, Nepal moved up from 17th to 16th position. This rise was due to Namibia slipping one place down the rankings. Both Nepal and Namibia maintain a rating of 28 points each.
Nepal has not played any ODI matches since winning the ACC Premier Cup. The team is scheduled to compete against Canada on Sunday as part of the League 2 series. Meanwhile, Namibia is currently participating in an ODI series in the United States. A rain-affected match against the UAE and a subsequent defeat to the US are thought to have impacted Namibia’s standing.
