India’s Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has called for a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi tomorrow. The party’s co-convener, Ashutosh Ranka, stated that the movement starting tomorrow will make history. He wrote on social media platform X, “Dear Cockroaches! I am proud of the long journey we have undertaken so far. Whatever happens tomorrow, we will certainly make history.” He urged supporters to come to the protest with the constitution in hand and Gandhi’s philosophy in their hearts. “No matter what happens, we will not raise our hands,” he added.
Similarly, CJP founder Abhijit Deepak said that even if he is arrested tomorrow, the party must remain steadfast in its demands. He wrote on X, “If I am arrested tomorrow, we must remain firm on our demands. We are fighting to save the country’s democracy. I urge everyone to participate peacefully in tomorrow’s demonstration.” Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have not granted permission to the CJP to hold a rally at Jantar Mantar. Nevertheless, the CJP has announced plans to protest at Jantar Mantar tomorrow, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
